[Fraxinus excelsior] Ash. |
Ash was often referred to as the Royal tree, because it came into leaf last and shed it's leaves first.
According to Nordic mythology, the Ash was the tree from which the very first man was created and his name was appropriately 'Ask' (the Scandinavian word for Ash). Today Ash provides a very lively and durable wooden floor.

[Fagus sylvatica] Beech. |
In old times the fruit of the Beech was particularly significantly to peasants and their masters alike, as pigs were fed on Beechnuts and were allowed to roam in the Beech woods.
Today the Beech is more appreciated for it' blonde and harmonious character in home furnishings.

[Prunus serotina] Cherry Tree |
Wood from Cherry trees was used for cog-wheels in flour mills, and it's fruit was used for fruit compotes, preserves and wines.
Today, wood from the cherry tree makes one of the most colourful wooden floors in our range.

[Acer saccharum] Canadian Maple |
Maple has been used for many different purposes through the years. For a long time the sweet sap of the Maple has been drained off in order to make syrup and sugar.
A lesser known fact is that at the end of this Century, it was used as a garden bower where people sat and relaxed in the shade under the crowns of the trees. Today Maple provides other advantages, equally enjoyable.
